Daytime talk programming has long been a fixture of home routines, with viewers building afternoon schedules around these series. The show's end leaves a gap in that daily rhythm for households that followed it.

The takeaway
A steady cleaning routine often survives a change in household habits when it is written down and tied to a fixed time of day. Pick one recurring task this week and schedule it on the calendar.
