Nextdoor has released its 2026 Fave Awards list, highlighting the top-rated local businesses in the Las Vegas area. Winners were selected based on millions of votes cast by neighbors in their respective communities.
Why it matters
These awards provide residents with a crowdsourced list of relied-upon local services, helping households identify trusted professionals based on community consensus. Because the awards are generated by neighbor votes rather than business payments, they serve as a practical guide for finding reputable providers.
Nextdoor honored 182,000 businesses nationwide, with top 10 lists generated locally for neighborhoods in Las Vegas, Henderson, and Mesquite. These rankings are not national comparisons and do not involve paid endorsements.
The players
Nextdoor
A social networking platform for neighborhoods that facilitates community connections and crowd-sourced recommendations for local service providers.
The details
The selection process relies on millions of votes cast by local users who identify businesses they personally rely on. Each neighborhood receives a unique list of top businesses, ensuring that the results reflect the specific needs and experiences of local homeowners. Businesses cannot pay for inclusion, as the rankings are intended to be a genuine representation of community preference.

The Home Front
The rise of neighborhood-specific rankings marks a shift toward community-verified service discovery in the local market. These awards reflect a broader trend where households increasingly rely on hyper-local, peer-reviewed data to vet contractors and service providers.
Review the localized list on your Nextdoor feed to identify reputable professionals for your next home project or repair. Use these community-vetted recommendations as a starting point when hiring, but always confirm the current licensure and insurance of any local service provider.
The takeaway
When vetting a new service provider, consider looking at neighborhood-level feedback to see which professionals your neighbors trust most. Always request direct references and verify trade licenses before scheduling home work, regardless of an awards-based reputation.
